SPEY 12 Years Old Brume Dorée Cask Strength — 2nd Edition
— The world's first single malt matured in Brume Dorée virgin oak casks, released once more in limited numbers.
To love an art is to long for all it might become.
For centuries, whisky casks have been shaped by fire alone. Bespoke 400-litre virgin oak casks, crafted by the renowned French cooperage Tonnellerie Quintessence in Bordeaux, overturn that tradition with mist-toasting — a delicate water mist tempering the flame, allowing the heat to pass slowly and evenly into the oak and gently releasing a deeper, purer sweetness from the wood.
After the first edition, this unprecedented experiment returns for a second performance. The same cooperage, the same devotion to tempering fire with mist, sealed once more at 56.1% cask strength. White peach and fresh grape come alive on the palate, and the finish settles into a delicate wisp of jasmine tea.
- Alcohol Content 56.1%

Crafting Process
In a world where speed is everything, this distillery reminds us that whisky making is an art form which cannot be rushed
Charles MacLean

Nestled at the remote, forest-encircled source of the River Spey, the SPEY distillery was decades in the making. Its secluded location, often frozen and unreachable in winter, was chosen solely to secure the purest spring water. This commitment imbues SPEY whisky with its remarkably pristine soul.
